Microsoft LifeCam – 1080p video call
Microsoft has announced the arrival of its latest LifeCam, a webcam which brings 1080p video calling. This is all to do with Windows Live Messenger 2011, which allows HD video calling in a 16:9 format. Microsoft LifeCam Studio is an upgraded version of the LifeCam Cinema HD with more features and high screen resolution, it is about twice as large as the 720p High-Definition sensors on the market.
It capable to deliver sharpness and image quality in video calls and its native 1080p sensor lets the users experience the video calls in any lighting condition. LifeCam Studio features premium optics, with improved Auto Focus to keep objects in focus no matter how far the distance from the LifeCam(3), and a high-precision glass element lens for superior clarity.
This also coming with a 360-degree viewing range . So the camera can see in any direction without moving a notebook or monitor and an elongated hood to keep out stray light and flashes. LifeCam Studio will be available soon in late September 2010 for the retail price of $99.95. Upon purchase of the device, it only supports VGA resolution, in order to experience the 1080p High Definition video calls, users need to have commercial video software.
