Facebook is launching one-time passwords and remote sign out
Facebook has released new feature to help all users protect their accounts when they log into public computers with one-time passwords.Those logging into Facebook in a public place like wifi hubs,Working place or cafe can send a text to 32665 with “otp” ( ” one-time password ” ) in the message field. Facebook will then respond with a password that will only work for the next 20 minutes. Users will have to add their cell phone number to their account information for this service. Facebook said it is rolling out the feature gradually and it should be available to everyone in the next few weeks.
For adding your mobile number to facebook ,go to ” Account Settings -> Mobile ” follow the instructions in that window. After that you will get text messages from facebook.
Sign out of Facebook remotely is now available to everyone. These session controls can be useful if you log into Facebook from a internet cafe or work place computer and then forget to sign out. Under Account Security section of Account Settings page you’ll see all active sessions, along with information about each session. You can shut down any logged in computer.
